PEP's IMF-E filter system makes the most innovative media filtration technology affordable for all side stream applications. We have taken the PEP patented conical vessel geometry and developed a technique for manufacturing in epoxy coated carbon steel. The IMF-E incorporates features of both the PEP-developed IMF technology and the Arkal Spin Klin technology to create a low-cost, small footprint industrial media filtration system. We maintain the industrial strength with the 100 psi carbon housing, the I-Beam epoxy coated skid, the IMF-patented fluidizing system using PVC lower 360 degree annular fluidizer and PVC upper fluidizers, non-metallic hydraulically actuated valves, and a NEMA 4X controller. All of this takes advantage of the unique design to reduce the footprint, thus conserving valuable floor space. The filter can use any of the Unigran filter media, getting down to .5 micron retentions. Like the IMF, the backwash results in 100% fluidization of the media, and the duration of 90 seconds results in less backwash water going down the drain. It comes standard with system-matched pump and automatic backwash.
